Arbat has been opened in Shymkent
Finally it happened! On the Day of the First President, a long-awaited Arbat along Beibitshilik Street has been opened in Shymkent. It happened in the evening, so that the luminous figures of angels appeared in all its glory.
Shymkent mayor Gabidulla Abdrakhimov congratulated city residents on the holiday, who noted the role of the Head of State in the establishment of an independent Kazakhstan and wished the citizens well-being and prosperity in the family.
Holiday guests were the mayor of the Turkistan region, Z. Tuimebayev, first deputy chairman of the World Association of Kazakhs Z. Turisbekov, senators from Shymkent D. Satybaldy and N. Beknazarov, deputies, prominent public figures.
“On 19 June, Shymkent became a city of republican significance by presidential decree,” said G. Abdrakhimov. - From this time began a new story of the metropolis. Arbat, which opened on the Day of the First President, I am sure, will become a favorite recreation area for Shymkent residents and guests.
Mayor thanked those who contributed to the construction of the new facility. Distinguished guests also congratulated citizens.
Arbat occupies an area of almost 500 meters from Republic Avenue to Al-Farabi Square. 12 angels illuminate the pedestrian walkway from above. Fountains that will create coolness in the summer heat have appeared here. There are cycle lanes from two sides of the territory. The holiday was a success: hundreds of residents and guests of the city came to Arbat. People shared joy with each other, chatted and took pictures against the background of luminous angels.
