City mayor Yerlan Aytakhanov and chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Abdirayim signed a memorandum of cooperation. The parties agreed to carry out joint activities aimed at solving problems in the field of labor relations.


“In July this year, at an enlarged meeting of the Government, President Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich Tokayev ordered to pay decent salaries to local employees working in foreign companies. The head of state gave the task to analyze the working conditions of workers of enterprises and the remuneration level of their labor, pay special attention to the professional level of domestic specialists and improve the skills of young workers, provide them with access to education, and monitor compliance with labor discipline, ”- said Yerlan Aytakhanov.


The head of the Federation of Trade Unions noted that trade union organizations work on the principle of social partnership.


“The Federation of Trade Unions is one of the largest organizations, uniting over two million people. Over two thousand primary trade union organizations, including 414 in Shymkent, actively participate in resolving labor disputes, protecting workers' rights, improving working conditions, and observing labor contract requirements. They are the main mediators between employers and employees, ”- noted B. Abdirayim.


In the framework of cooperation, the parties agreed to resolve labor disputes and issues arising in the field of labor law together.
